Les Terres Froides Premier Cru Extra-Brut Millésimé
A Hidden Gem from the Mountain of Reims
“This is our secret wine — born in a peaceful haven on the edge of a forest, high on the Mountain of Reims. Its name may sound austere, inspired by its cool, north-facing parcel, yet this exposure reveals the soul of the chalky subsoil, crafting a Champagne of rare precision, freshness, and salinity.”
— From us…“At first encounter, it may seem shy — slow to open, restrained, almost distant. But patience will reward you. As it unfolds, the freshness, minerality, and remarkable length reveal a wine of quiet depth and lasting elegance — a bottle meant to be shared and savoured slowly.”
— Stéphane Arion, Le Glue Pot, Reims. The Origin
From Tauxières, a Premier Cru village on the Montagne de Reims, facing the terroir of Bouzy.
Sourced from an over 40-year-old parcel, Les Fourches, resting on chalk and clay soils at 165 metres of altitude, with a northern exposure that preserves purity and tension.Grape Variety
100% Chardonnay — a singular expression of finesse, precision, and mineral drive.
Craftsmanship
Fermented with indigenous yeasts in a mix of French oak casks, concrete egg-shaped vats, and ceramic amphorae, allowing gentle micro-oxygenation and layered complexity.
Bottled 6 to 9 months after harvest and matured 36 months on lees, developing depth while retaining its crystalline freshness.
Dosage
Extra-Brut, perfectly balanced to highlight the terroir’s chalky minerality and saline finish.
Limited Release
Only 3,500 to 5,000 bottles are produced, depending on the harvest — each one a rare reflection of nature’s cool elegance and human precision.
The Experience
Les Terres Froides is not a Champagne that shouts — it whispers.
It’s a wine of contemplation, subtle beauty, and evolving grace. Perfect for those who seek authenticity, freshness, and the quiet thrill of discovery in every glass.
