Vineyard located in El Bierzo. The plots of Mencía are located in Espanillo at 700 meters of altitude, the average age of the vineyard is 80 years.
Soil
The soil is decomposed slate with sandy areas, the soil is worked in an artisanal way with three passes with plows pulled by two cows.
Elaboration
After a manual harvest in boxes the grapes are selected, destemmed and crushed. Then it passes directly in foudre of 2500L where it makes the alcoholic and bad lactic fermentation, it will remain in this foudre until its transfer to be bottled
