Quinta da Furada White Family Port
Quinta da Furada White Family Port is an exceptional white Port wine crafted from ancient white grape varieties indigenous to the Douro region, cultivated in the historic vineyards of Quinta da Furada. These vines, some over a century old, are meticulously tended by hand from pruning through to harvest, which typically occurs in September.
 
Winemaking Process:
The grapes undergo fermentation in traditional granite lagares, where a gentle extraction is achieved through foot treading before the addition of grape brandy. The wine is then aged in a combination of oak and chestnut casks. Notably, the specific vintage year of this aged white Port remains undisclosed, adding an element of mystery to its character.
 
Tasting Notes:
This wine presents a golden straw hue and offers an intense, appealing nose with notes of ripe white fruits, apricot, dried fruits, and wood. On the palate, it is concentrated and complex, featuring flavors of raisins and wood, culminating in a long, satisfying finish.
